The US consumers are probably becoming aware of ZTE only in recent time.I however have been using their products for more than 5 years.

5 years ago BSNL - the largest national land line telephony service provider in India went in for a massive expansion to increase their presence and capacity for linked ADSL internet service. They have had excellent response ever since. I have never had any kind of problem with the connection or 3 of their wifi ADSL modem/router combos I am using. On top of that their products were at least 25 % cheaper!

In the same period my clients have had all kinds of problems with other branded products like d-Link, NetGear and Belkin. If they maintain the same quality standards I don't see why they can't take the first place in the lower to mid-range smartphones on the back of third world countries.
