I have a Hitachi Hi8 camcorder that is on the blink. When I try to play the tapes that are up to 9 years old, I get jittering, jumpy images. I tried to play back the tapes on another hi8 camcorder, but there seems to be a timing/tracking problem. My ultimate goal is to record the tapes to DVD. Is there a hi8 player someone could suggest that would play the tapes and is able to adjust for the timing issue? I have the computer setup to record, but at this point I need something that can play these tapes. Thank you.
