Ok, seriously need some help.

I've been using Bit Torrent (ABC) for a while now and I have always got appauling dl speeds (4-5kbp/s). Therefore, I have forwarded ports 6991 - 99 under the virtual server page and this has increased the speed to 10 - 20kbp/s. My dl's are still yellow which as I understand means there is still something wrong. So i've used the Azureus config wizard's port test and that gives a NAT error. Hmm...

In my router config I tried going in to the NAT page and in a drop down menu, changing it from NAPT to NAT but this causes the internet to stop functioning altogether.

I've spent hours looking around the web at different forums about slow dl speeds but when people forward their ports they seem to solve the problem and get speeds of over 100 kbp/s.

Hopefully someone's got the answer to this (well annoying) problem.

BT ports start at 6881 by default, hehe. Unelss you've changed the ports in your Preferences that's the problem I would have to assume.

Yeah, I changed the port numbers in my prefs before I forwarded the ports.

Ah, ok good then. Did you get both tcp and udp forwarded in the NAT? Are you running a software firewall? Do you have the Windows XP firewall on?
