Hi all,

I recently downloaded some games from winmx
. They are large zip files. Winzip cant open them. I get a cant open file. does not appear to be a valid archive message. Could these be actual images. All 3 files are over 700megs. Is there another way to get these files opened?

they could be iso images so try changing the extension to iso and burning. The archives could also be corrupted. Download WinRAR and use its repair feature. I might work!

Most of the "Big" files that are over 400 meg, from WinMX, tend to be bogus files. When downloading a file from person, ask them if they have used the file(but sometimes that don't mean nothing).
I myself have downloaded large program files from WinMX, some good, some bad. It's like going to a casino, you have your good days, you have your bad days. I do find out that if you "tinker" with the program like 'Dela' said, you somtimes find the result you were looking for. I also found that programs that i've downloaded from "Kazaa", i never have a problem with, what so ever. So maybe you can have better luck trying that route,too. Good Luck!
