cdloader boot problem

I just received my swapmagic pro 2/3 today and had a question about using cdloader. I have visited both http://www.tidusx.cjb.net/ and swapmagicfix. I have followed the instructions on there sites to burn the cdloader image onto the cdr but with no luck.

I have a v1 PS2 if it matters. The screen hangs and freezes when I put in the disk. A redish border surrounds part of the screen. Could someone perhaps inform me how to burn the image correctly, like all the correct settings to use in alcohol or something. I have made a couple of coasters and dont want to make more than I have to. Thanks for any help!

On a side note. Can Swap magic be used to play dvdrips of games? Or do you need some other software like breaker pro to play dvdrips? Im not really sure what the difference is between the different kinds of copies (backups/dvdrips). Thanks for helping a new guy out.

try dvdloader or sm3dvd, it means less swaps, and they burn using default settings in alcohol, i can let you have them both if you can't get them yourself
