I have a rather strange issue (and yes, I've used the search function, but I seem to be getting more confused the deeper into the crossthreads I get...)

I am working with an AVI of a presentation (work stuff) and I've been asked to burn it to CD or DVD. No problem. Usually. I've been using Nero 6 (VCD) or Roxio 6 (DVD) to make things like this, but this is the first time I've run into this. I checked out the file in Divx Player and everything's peachy. But when I cut it to DVD or VCD, the sound track is skewed from the video by about .5 seconds. I'm not sure how to fix this or why it would work for Divx player but not when cut. I *assume* there's some kind of "timing mark" issue or something, but as a clewless newbie, I know I'm probably wrong.

Anyway, I've gotten things like VirutalDub, TMPGenc, Main Concept and most of the "stough" that I've read that's recommended for futzing with these things, but my blonde roots are showing through... I can't see how to fix this.

Help?
