This depends on what your Tv has available. Do you need to go to Composite (Red white Yello) S-Video, Component (Red blue Green) or two screws rated at 300ohms?

Also what do you have availble on your computer (s-video, D-sub (15 pins in five rows and three collumns) or a Yellow port).

Ok good to know. That video adaptor will not work that you sugested, as you only have a single video channel (yellow) and not three (one for Red one for blue and one for green). The white and Red ports that you see are for sound, not video. The White is Mono or left and the Red is right speaker side.

You will want some thing like this:

This should work and its really cheap. For this type of conversion there really are not too many options. What a lot of people end up doing is buying a new Video card for they computer with Video out ports. Which includes S-video and Yellow ports. Most new video cards now include component out (RGB).
IF this is the same as your monitor cable (ie you are unpluging your monitor and pluging your Tv in) make sure your computer is on and fully working. Most require a monitor to start Windows (part of that plug and play monitor detection thing).
