article published on 22 March, 2012

Current iPhones have small 3.5-inch displays, and Apple has been rumored to be introducing a larger phone for years now. If accurate, the report states that Apple has already placed orders with suppliers for a late Q2 launch of the device. It is unclear what resolution ... [ read the full article ]

Another device with extravagant resolution & for what? you can't use it on a screen that small (if the damned company were to actually build the device in the first place). Sure, it may be nice for playing video on a larger screen.

So have the 'capability' to do it would be welcome, but again, it's just another plasma arc of piss in the wind going strait into the faces of the consumers buying the devices under the guise their getting a 'wow'.

Yeah... wow...

Thats what I was wondering. Is HD really noticeable at all on small screens? Never actually looked at that...

Retina Display will certainly be visible, even on a small screen.

Duchess of York evades extradition over TV row

The Home Office has refused a request from Turkey to extradite Sarah, Duchess of York after she was charged with criminal offences relating to an undercover documentary about orphanages. It's different if you are a member of the establishment and not some poor nobody.

On that small of a screen? Hell no! Yes on a iPad 3 you'll see some cause of the pixel density and saturation, but on a phone you would have to get a magnifying glass just to see the difference in quality. If it has a graphics chip, then just have the phone plugged into a mini HDMI port and HDMI hooked to your HDTV then you're good to go, which IMO would ve a hell of a lot better than squinting at some screen cause the type is too small.

If I had to bet I'd guess no larger than 4.2, but all glass screen front this time around. So many users already have the iPad or will so an oversize screen isn't, IMHO, a priority. But a 4.2 screen that is very slightly larger overall, and quite possibly wafer thin is quite compelling.
