My xbox broke and I need to get a new one. I want to put a mod chip in it but I need a Version 1.4 xbox. Is there any way I could find the version out by looking at the box.

Also keep in mind, that a new motherboard means a re-format of your hard drive. Motherboards are like family to the hard drive it formats. you cant just take out your old hard drive and put it in someone elses motherboard.
