The "DVD to SVCD with TMPGEnc" guide handles PAL and NTSC well but leaves the question of DVDs originating in the FILM format up in the air. The non-interlace encode mode doesn't seem to work as the resulting image is very herky jerky. I've tried using "3:2 Pulldown with Playback" with a frame rate of 23.976 fps [internally 29.97 fps]and this helps but some FILM DVDs are still a bit rough and uneven. My limited experience seems to suggest that it is more of a problem with the 16:9 aspect ration then the 4:3 aspect ration. Thanks for your help.
