Hi, i've been searching the foruns, and have not find the answear to this question of mine. Is it possible to play in the ps2, ps1 games that have more than 1cd but at the moment you have to change to disc 2(and so on) is not possible to make a save. I'm using breaker pro, no modchip.

(sorry for the poor english)

Ofcourse it is. A popular game such as Final Fantasy VII is indeed playable on the PS2, you can even save on the PS2 Memory Card.

Actually, you have to use a PS1 memory card to save PS1 game saves. PS1 games will not detect a PS2 memory card in the slot.

PS2 - v8

Gamecube w/Broadband Adapter
Phantasy Star Online

I don't think you understood my question, in the case of FFVII you can save your game when you have to change disc (end of disc 1 and 2), games like chrono cross and lunar, you have to change disc at the time, and it does not detect the next disc, because it is a backup. Any help on this?

If you're using the swap method to boot your games you will not be able to start the next disc simply by inserting it into the Playstation 2. If the game supports saving progress to the memory card during the disc change process, you can save your progress to the memory card but you will have to restart the PS2 using the disc swap method with the next disc. If the game does not support saving progress during the disc change process, you will likely not be able to workaround this problem and a no-swap modchip would be your only solution.

Hmmm...that's a pity....
By the way, are there ani games for the ps2 that use more than one dvd? If so, this could be a problem for smd users...

I have yet to see any multi-disc PS2 games out since the most logical step would be to just use a DVD9 if the game won't fit onto a standard DVD, however, should any multi-disc games come out I have no reason to believe that they would behave any different than their PS1 counterparts and that when you insert the next disc the PS2 would probably check it to see if it's legit. As for your Final Fantasy VII, you do know that each disc is bootable don't you? You should be able to save at the end of the first disc, reboot your PS2 with your swap disc, and swap in the 2nd Final Fantasy VII disc, and load your saved data.
