Netflix adds 80's cartoons to lineup

Netflix has announced the addition of a few 80s cartoons to its streaming library.
Among the shows coming to Netflix instantly are "My Little Pony," "Transformers Prime," "GI Joe: Renegades," "Pound Puppies," and "The Adventures of Chuck & Friends."

Why? If the 70s was the 'last gasp' for cartoons, the 80s was the moaning, gnashing teeth of the dead coming after you to tear the flesh off your bones.
After Tipper Gore & bunch of 'Save the Fecal Finders' brigade got done doing their damage, everyone just had to jump on the band wagon & throw in their 2 cents about violence & it's affects on children. So much so, it was reflected in cartoons & all aspects of children's programming to the point of most shows looking like they were formatted for the mentally retarded.
I'll bet these idiots are trying to sell this garbage as 'timeless & wholesome'. Other than kids that don't know any better, it's just primary colored, Korean rehash, that sits still with blinking eyes.

I was thinking Warner Brother classics when Warner employed creative people unlike today just distributing garbage movies and trying to sue everybody and their dog.

I enjoyed those cartoons, and now I have to order them through Amazon to get them uncensored and in their original glory.
I wished Warner's would bring stuff like Animaniacs back, for example, even though it came out about 20 years ago, it was funny as all out.

Ren and Stimpy is not a network produced cartoon. It is cable broadcast with very few restrictions. Network broadcasting knuckled in the late seventies early eighties do to special interest groups who know what's good for all children.
I never hit somebody with a hammer nor dropped an anvil on somebodies head. The feel good cartoons didn't do a thing to make make kids fluffy or nonviolent. Now kids just take an assault rifle to school and kill twenty something kids and adults.
That's what I call progress! (Not)
Overkill that destroyed cartoons forever.
BTW Hey Netflix, 80's cartoons suck.

Yes, as I can muster the most sardonic, sarcastic tone possible... To which I can also add, I also WORKED for Nickelodeon back when they were producing the show. However, that means little when there was little if ANY actual violence portrayed on screen (only IMPLIED). Bazaar contortions of the characters or double entendres made by the toons (understood by the adult audience only) does not a 'violent cartoon make.
Pick a better (there is none) example for your argument, then we might discuss it. Otherwise, I still stand behind my original statements that network cartoons have been pretty much nothing more than blinking eyed, talking heads for the mentally retarded since the late 70s. Sans SOME of the work coming out of Japan.
I'm not even considering any of the computerized shit, due to the very nature that the craftsmanship is still left primarily to a machine rather than human nuance.

ren and stimpy was on tv here for a short time.looney tunes was amusing.i use to watch transformers,robotech series,dragon ball z and looney tunes.
if you want really violent cartoons try the manga series and no its not daytime viewing.
custom built gaming pc from early 2010,ps2 with 15 games all original,ps3 500gbs with 5 games all original,yamaha amp and 5.1channel surround sound speakers,46inch sony lcd smart tv.
