PCW has posted their latest smartphone data speed tests, and AT&T and T-Mobile were the clear winners.
Taking measurements of service from 13 cities - Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New Orleans, New York, San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle, and Washington, D.C., the site took average 3G and 4G speeds.

What's still aggravating is they'll use this information as propaganda to charge their customer base more. Basically saying that because they put forth the 'extra effort' to be the fastest, it's an added value not found anywhere else, so it demands a higher price.
Or who's simply to say that there isn't enough people physically using the AT&T network to tax it hard enough to slow it down level with the others? Given the data plans & overcharges I certainly wouldn't take a chance. Until otherwise, I'm figuring AT&T will go with a narrative like the latter.
That'll be their story & they stick it to the customer.
Sprint speeds are just terrible! I only keep using it cause is what i can afford. i do have high hopes with sprint LTE coming in my area by the end of the year.

Actually, tmobile is a lot cheaper than Verizon or at&t...and for most people who are not covered by 4g, they won this one. I loved my tmobile as long as I was in florida...fast and reliable everywhere I went. Now that I travel a lot I hate it. Verizon is still king when it comes to data coverage, even if the speed is not the best. I'll be switching back very soon. Good thing this tmobile has no contract.
With a mobile phone, I hardly think the "speed" of the network is the most important thing.
Don't get me wrong. I think Sprint is lagging far behind.
But, let's compare the speeds AFTER someone hits their "caps" on their network...
with someone on Sprint...
