Samsung has listed all their devices which will be updating to Android 4.0 ICS in the coming weeks. Notably, however, is the fact that those with T-Mobile as their carrier will not be getting the stated update until the future. Of course the Samsung Droid charge (Verizon) is neglected.

AT&T uses the exynos processor while T mobiles uses the inferior Qualcomm chip.

I would like to know why it's inferior though. I mean, Qualcomm is the innovator from back in the day. One would think they have stayed current. No???

Let me rephrase that...There not inferior in every way, there chips are just slower. There SOCs right now are the only ones that support LTE. Thats why the american version uses the Krait while everyone else gets Tegra 3. The krait is still really fast though.

The exynos was just the fastest chip for 2011 in multiple benchmarks.

So Qualcomm is still up there, but for whatever reason the exynos chip didnt like TMOBs HSPA+ network.

Just root, was tired of too many people having control over what version of android OS they wanted to let me have, or the amount bloatware is on my device, screw em all, just root.
