REVERSE Hard Drive - has this been tried

I know how to get a computer hard drive in an xbox, but now I am wanting my xbox hard drive in my computer. How do I do this. Partition majic, Windows computer management doesn't recognize it. I can't have it connected while booting the computer it won't finish booting. I have to plug it in afterwards. Surely someone has done this before.

That would make sense: the Xbox uses a completely different filestructure system :)

What????? You plugged a HDD into a live system? (I've personally met people who've done this without damage but I would reccommend it) I'm assuming the HDDs in Xbox's arent SATA/SCSI so they wouldnt be hotswappable .... or have I misinterpreted you horribly so?

Ok i want do that anymore, but how can I get this HD ready for my computer?

Download configmagic, from x-b-o-x.net. This program will do it for ya. It unlocks the harddrive, and then all you have to do is format it to NTFS or FAT 32 or watever ya wanna do with it..

Ye you have to unlock it while the hdd is in the xbox using config magic. Then when you put it in your pc make sure it is set to slave if you are using it as a second hdd, because it is normally set to cable select when its in the xbox.
