Try using DVD Shrink to decrypt/compress the dvd into an ISO file, and Nero to burn with. I had issues with Nero and my burner, so I currently use DVD Fab to burn my ISO files, and it is working great. Another great program to use is DVD Decrypter to break the movie down as well. DVD Shrink and Decrypter are both free, and totally awesome. I have made only a few coasters in the very beginning, none of which were due to errors with any of these programs. (only to some minor noob errors in the beginning. ;-) )

ny002ll,

This is very, very close to mulit posting. Which is against forum rules.
RE:http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/93119

And if you notice the same suggestions were given (Shrink and Decrypter).

In your opinion. Also you don't need Nero 6(which can be found for $49), you can use Nero 5.5

Also if your using a pc with NTFS file system, you don't even need Nero. You can use DVD Decrypter to burn(ISO files)

Now a more accurate statement would be DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter are the best free ware for backing up dvd's.

Nero is the best around for all your needs. Most other software is dedicated to one thing be it ps2 dvd VCD or mp3.Nero will handle all these and more.

You can download a demo version off this site which will allow you to do quite a bit for a limited time. Then you will have to purchase but to be honest it is worth every penny and it is not really exspensive.Download it from the software page and see what you think. Here is a list of some of the things you can do with it.
Make a Data cd
copy a cd
Make mp3 disc
Make wma dic
Make Nero Digital Audio
Capture Video
Play video
Record dvd
Convert dvd to Nero Digital
Copy entire dvd
Copy multiple dvd's to one
Back up files
Restore files
Schedule back ups
Burn Image to disc
Make Audio cd
Make VCD & svcd
Make video slide show
Make cd cover
Restore back up cds
Test drives
Control drives
Erase disc
Plus more as well but iam getting a little carried away here.Basicly to much to mention although i have had a good go at it.
