Ok, everyone wants a fast fast fast speed while downloading BTs and therefore disabling their router firewall, their XP firewall, and other firewalls (i.e. Zonealarm, Norton security, antivirus etc.)

Now... Doesn't open ports (ususally ports 6800-6969) makes your extremely vulnerable to others? such as hackers and viruses? Since hacker and virus can connect to you through that port without a problem. And with your ip address visible to everyone else downloading the same file, isn't it even more dangerous? (such program that can see other's ip address are clients such as Bittornado).

Am I wrong? Someone confirm this or prove me wrong.

You are technically correct however it is a moot point considering there are roughly 65000 ports to choose from

Well its not a security risk YET! but it is possible that sometime in the near future a vulnerability might be found with the Bit Torrent client that will make it a security risk! As of now though, there's nothing much more than a kiddie could do than flood the port! which is now so OLD!!

I dont. If I download faster that means I download more and if I download more then I get booted from my ISP. :(
