I have a LiteOn 5001 DVD Recorder. As near as I can tell, the recorder writes vob files to the DVD. But, when I put the DVD (I use Imation DVD+RW) into my computer, neither of my editing programs can read all of any vob files that are one gig or larger. According to the editing programs, the vob files in question are less than 4 minutes long. But this is not correct, as I can view the entire files in PowerDVD.
I am trying to edit out commecials and burn some TV shows to DVD. Oh yeah,the programs I am using are MPEG Video Wizard 2003 and Roxio's Easy DVD Creator (version 6...which sucks).

I have been sifting through the Afterdawn forums for days now and haven't found a solution (...I apologize if this is addressed elsewhere and I missed it). I have updated my ASPI layer, but to no avail. I am now totally befuddled (always wanted to use that word). Any help would be greatly appreciated. By the way, to everyone here, thank you. Even though I haven't been able to solve this problem, Afterdawn has helped numerous other times (without me having to post).
