ISPs must block notorious torrent site. The court in The Hague has ordered Internet service providers UPC, KPN, Tele2, T-Mobile and Telfort to block access to the Pirate Bay website, mirroring an order issues by a court in the United Kingdom recently. why not just shut down the site ...... they tried to but why can't it be shut down? also it's not the isp job to do so... in the states I bet that some of the isp gets paid to spy on ya

Indeed, why they don't block the original site. I can use PirateRay to access any blocked torrent, so they have no real success...

To shut it down you would need to go through the country hosting the site and Pirate Bay moved out of Europe where they were more vulnerable.
