The study found that most of the pirates are male, and aged between 25 and 44.
22 percent of those who admitted to piracy said they did it "occasionally" while 26 percent said "rarely."

I would be interested how they came about their quantitative findings. What was the real demographics (race, religion, etc...). How much of the questionnaire was filled out via bravado. Who of their 'selection' really knows what a pirate is.
There are far to many variables & I doubt there was a means that they could immediately make a standardized form that would seem unbiased or neutral enough that didn't make someone feel like a criminal.
Sounds like this is yet another cultivation for a SIPA or PIPA propaganda farming plot.
