article published on 18 May, 2012
Earlier today, Iran's Foreign Ministry threatened to sue Google after the search giant removed the name "Persian Gulf" from its Google Maps service.
Says a Ministry spokesperson: "One of the seditionist acts taken as part of the soft war against the Iranian nation has been Google's shameless act to drop the name 'Persian Gulf' which is ... against historical documents. We have put on ... [ read the full article ]

Iran's crack 'Flying Carpet' corps has been spotted in maneuvers over the Straits of Hormuz in recent weeks, so something's cooking.

Isn't it about time the world just goes in & gives Iran a bit of of the ol' "punk to the junk" to let these f*kers know where they belong at the dinner table?
I mean enough is enough. I'll even go so far as to have the US sit at the kids table for screwing up for a little while. You know, for breaking mom's lamp; but enough Iran!
They keep yammering like a prepubescent brother that get's so belligerently pissed off he drops his pants in public, grabs his dick & starts daring everyone to tell him that his 4 incher isn't indeed a 12 incher.
For shits sake! Stop rolling our eyes & walking off to let them stand there & rant. Literally punch them in the junk! Really hard! Sure they're gonna cry, but we're our brother's keeper & some medicine is bitter tasting.
If his nuts are too small... hit him again. The cure's in there, I can sense it!

Google should counter sue Iran for providing false and misleading information about it's nuclear weapons (oops) energy program.

Where's the politics? Who said anything about politics? I was talking about knocking Iran down a few pegs & then picking them back up by their short hairs like you would any of your own unruly family members... Where'd you get politics out of all that?
Unless I couldn't understand sarcasm from your statement, you certainly need to learn satire from my previous rant. Not to mention the fact I'm one of the most staunch advocates of Rule #11.

Actually my entire family is from Iran and I was born in the US. Although the carpet ride comment is not a Persian thing, I can still laugh at it. Yes, we make Perisan rugs, but we don't ride them... haha
BTW - the other comment about our dicks being 4 inches... who told you? Just kidding, see I can laugh at these jokes while still being an American Iranian.
No harm no foul... now knock it off... haha

Or perhaps Google should wait a month or so, Iran as we know it may not be around much longer?
Plan to attack Iran if they don't stop their nuclear program...

See!!! I told you!!! Somebody has a sense of humor!!! I even mentioned the US needs to sit at the kid's table. Some folks are as sensitive as 20 grit sandpaper to inflamed hemorrhoids.
Something I know a little bit about...

Perhaps it was a case of misdentification inasmuch as King Solomon was alleged to have one too.

That would be the natural progression of ANY topic such as this. It is political so why would you want to try and censor this and direct the conversation??? This topic isn't like the majority of others where they only talk tech or about tech companies so sit back.........relax...........and let the discussion unfold in its true form based on THIS specific topic. If you're politically inept then you need to work on that............here's your chance.

I am not Arab or care less about them.
But the way I see it: Iran or any other country in the whole world have the right to sue or have Nuclear Power Plants or Nuclear Weapons or wherever they up to, like any other country.
Who is the U.S. or any other country to say they can or they can't have this or that ?
U.S. Is not the "God of the world" not either any other Country or Countries-Gang.
P.S. At the End of the War-Show, the only ones that profit are the Upper Class that support companies like Martin lockheed who supply weapons to both sides, ending owning the Natural Resources of that Country and then sold to us for more profits, etc, and the most affected by War are the Poor Class and Kids.

I pretty much agree with you, especially about the upper class and oligarth profiting, but Iran has threatend to destroy the Great Satan (That's us) numerous times, which means the U.S. and probably any other developed Great Satan country is not going to sit by and wait for an attempt to destroy us after the fact. Wish in a perfect world war didn't exist and we could all live in harmony, but with the nature of human beings to war on each other, I don't think it will ever come to pass.

Ok, I won't be a fool of the mass media, but I also won't cut off my nose to spite my face. You might be OK with a politically unstable nation with leaders who have hostile tendencies toward other members of the United Nations acquiring atomic weapons, but I'm not.
Whenever this debate comes up, the same things are said about the military industrial complex, or the PATRIOT Act, or the Iraq war or any of the other piles of things that are somehow used as a defence for countries like Iran. But there are also other facts to be observed. Only one group of people on Earth are seeking nuclear weapons with an actual INTENT to use them as an ACT OF AGGRESSION, and that is radical Islamic groups. Ask yourself why Hezbollah / Hamas rallies have big flags with mushroom clouds on them.
Now compare that to the United States. It used nuclear weapons twice as an act of war against the empire of Japan to put a sudden end to the war in the Pacific. Since then, it has had a nuclear stockpile as a deterrent and as the absolute last means of defence in conflict, and that's the same with every other nuclear-armed nation. After the Cold War, there are too many nukes, which is why the U.S. and Russia agreed to start destroying stockpiles, and are being followed by European countries and others too.
If a country presents a real danger to its neighbours, or any other members of the International community, then the International community has not just the right, but the responsibility to act. Thus far, nobody has attacked Iran even though it has been caught lying to IAEA, the European Union, it had hidden nuclear enrichment facilities... it's president (and supreme leader) have made no secret of their intentions toward Israel and have repeatedly strayed accidentally from the "we have a peaceful nuclear program" line (Ahmadinejad once stated, while watching a missile launch test in the Persian Gulf, that this was "part of our nuclear program")
Now, before you cut my head off, I am not American, I'm Irish. I also do not want to see war in Iran because I know it will be extremely messy and that part of the world could do without any more major turmoil, and I am absolutely NOT picking on Islam, or Muslims in any way. But I completely reject the idea that a state with leaders who have a hostile intention toward another member of the United Nations have absolutely every right to build apocalyptic weapons.
