Apple has announced the start of a "Free App of the Week" promotion, finally. Starting with 'Cut the Rope: Experiments,' the company will offer a new free app each week. Took them long enough. Amazon has been doing this for quite a while. I don't know that it has been very publicized, but they have indeed been doing it. HUGE money maker for them.

The only problem is how long before they start putting out the add-crap & schlock-ware that has folks pay to play & it starts to wear on people's nerves?

"Deity of Choice" knows Amazon had a dry spell there for almost 4 month before a decent app showed up again before a Free App of the Day showed up again.

Shhhhh You cannot imply that Apple is in anyway copying anyone else. Apple only innovates so if they are doing this then they are the first to do it regardless if any other company or organization did it before them.

Oh great! Now they're gonna sue me for defamation of character (if they had any to begin with) & probably some kind of patent infringement I know nothing about...

Yeah... That & somebody else is going to sue me because I 'supposedly' don't know the difference copying/cloning.
