Ok got a story then some questions
1. After making a copy of a dvd using dvd decoder, It played on my computer, so I tried it in my playstation, got the message wrong tv system. So I tried again, same message. now i have 2 coasters so i finally decide to put the orginal in my dvd player i get the same message, turns out the dvd is in pal signal, my friend brought me back a german porn from switzerland. They all play on my computer how is that?
2. Using the guide from dvd decoder it said to look for a file called .dvd, well there was no file .dvd but there was the title of the movie with a picture of a dvd so im assuming its that one the other one was .mds. so did I do that right, using windows xp home.
3. Is there a way to change the pal signal to ntsc signal?
4. I have a dvd that is 7gb but dvd shrink and dvd decoder won't read it. dvd shrink will read some parts of the disc so how do I go about reauthoring those parts?

A DVD that plays, no matter in what, is NOT a coaster.
A coaster doesn't play in anything therefore is good for only a beer coaster -
If it doesn't play in a standalone or your P/S may very well be the media you're using or the type of disc you're using. Not being a gamer, I'm not sure BUT I think it should be a DVD-R not a +R. If it is a -R, change your media to one suited to DVD Video backup. Many explanations in our forum about which are recommended, Searching our forum will give you the answer :-)

It may be an ISO image, in DVD Shrink, Go to "file?,? Open disc image."
I don't know what country you're in, you might want to try AnyDVD OR RegionFree DVD - both programs run in the background and render a DVD region free. If your DVD is a copy, it may well be again (here we go, repeating myself again)your media - PC's don't like lousy media either where DVD Video is concerned :-(

Personally, I like my stuff to play so me, and I say, it's just me - I purchase the correct media to start with, then I usually don't have problems -
If it's a commercial disc, let's hear it now - BUT don't DARE tell me it's an original DVD if it isn't -
Time to tell another story, fill it with facts, all that you can think of so we'll know what we're dealing with -

I write this reply In Great fear of getting Preator's big BOOM! But, This is one of those times when i know i should mind my own business but for some reason can't.
I have spent alot of time on A.D. over the past several months And while ScubaPete has helped countless people (including me several times).He can be offensive and downright rude at times, for me that is a small price to pay for the invaluable information he provides, but this kid didn't think so and he rightly called Scuba on it.I think instead of all the AD elite jumping so quickly to Scuba's defence someone who knows him well should tell him to go a little easier on dumbasses and newbie's. just my two cents

The help here is free of charge, the people who post here do so on their own time so I have no sympathy for anyone who complains about free help.
There's no "Customer Service" desk at AD for a reason.

I have to say that I can see both sides to this.
I have had a lot of help from senior members of this forum but some of the replies I have seen have been arrogant and aggressive. (not to me)
It occasionally reminds me of visiting a large computer chain store where the staff look down on you and assume you no absolutely nothing and are just wasting their time.
spencerkl deserved to be blown up for being so offensive but the 'newbie' status means new to Afterdawn' not new to computing.
If Bill Gates starts an account here then he's going to get newbie status but we shouldn't assume he knows nothing.
