For pretty much every generation of their handheld consoles, Nintendo has elongated the life span of the device by creating updated models introducing new features. With the Wii U coming out and the ability to stream games to that I think that will take care of my Nintendo Hand Held needs. Unfortunately for those that like to game on the go that is an issue but I don't have the need to game like that outside of my house and I could care less about 3D.

Yeah the DSi was just when they added internet and a couple extras the 3Ds already has. Maybe they will make the next gen 3DS with a bigger screen. I have a XL model now and I like the bigger screen. If they would let the new 3Ds games play on the older systems only in 2D I would be happy.

I think it's to early to be making another handheld. I think it's fine if they mean the 3DS does not need a revision and we rather spend time designing and making things right with the new system. But the 3DS is still "new" it's only a little over a year old and there planing to come out with a new handheld soon? What confidence does that give buyers that there money is well spent? First the huge price cut then after a year or two they move on? We all know when a new system comes out all attention is given to it and the 3DS will be lacking new good titles. Just wow Nintendo, I really wish I never purchased the 3DS. On top of that I paid the price before the price drop and now they are making a new handheld. Never again Nintendo, never again.
