I have a backpack dvd r/rewriter and use shrink and nero5.5. I've been having a problem with nero in the finalization stage. When the burn process is 100% the timer is still running everything stays the same. If I stop the burn the program locks up and I have to use ctrl/alt/del to end program. Then my backpack won't eject or anything even if I restart windows.(XP)
I have to unplug the power cord from the back of backpack and plug it back in. Also the sound that the computer makes when I unplug and plug the backpack is the same sound it makes at 100% burn and dosen't begin to finalize. All has been fine until here lately so I don't think it's the media.
any ideas?

well, what media is it? And, when you use shrink, shrink the movie a little more than automatic compression suggests (you might be running out of space on the blank dvd).

V9 PS2, flip top, SMD, DVDLoader
Pioneer 107, ritek g05
DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, Nero

As sly said, your probably running out of room on the blank. Open Shrink, click edit then preferences, then change the target size to custom and enter 4300. Then leave the compression to automatic.
