Ok guys, can anyone tell me or point me in the direction of some software or tutorial that will burn my mpeg to dvd-r as fast as possible. And has anyone got any idea how long it will take?

Thanks,
Matt

first of all you need to convert the mpeg file to VOB files, you need TMPGEnc dvd author to do this, it will take about 20mins depending on the size of the file, then you can insert the files to your burning tools eg, Nero, clone dvd and you can then burn the files,

I use Nero 6 and I burn mpeg-files as datafiles. From the dvd-section I choose "Make data disc". I have 4,7 gb dvd-rw and it takes about 40 minutes to burn 5 movies in it.

Hopefully you can understand me, becouse I'm from Finland and my english is not that good. So you have Nero 6. In the mainwindow, upper right corner, there reads DVD and CD. Choose the dvd. Move mouse on the star and choose "make data disc" then you add your files. My dvd-player doesn't play AVI-files so I don't know about those. My player didn't understood when I choosed to burn multisession discs.
