Riping a DVD to a 700 MB file

I was using DR.DIVX to rip and re-encode DVDs to AVI files less than 700mb but for some reason DR.DIVX has stopped working as well as it has... Anyway is there another way to rip and reencode DVDs to AVIs less than 700mb? And still be able to edit out parts such as intros and credits?

You may try to use Xilisoft DVD Ripper. Or through changing video&audio bitrate, you can get a specifying size file.

Want to Rip a movie to a 700 MB CDR :-?
Get DVD Decrypter and dump the files to yur HDD. You'll need around 10GB free, btw.

After that use DVDx along with XviD, as the encoder, to get your movie.

Although, you get pretty decent pix & audio quality in 1 CD, and ive done already 5 of em :P, but i'd suggest you do a 2 CD rip so that the movie gets a 5.1 channel surround, which is rather kewl and better than stereo - 2 channels :(. How well while ripping u have to export the AC3 and include it in DVDx ?
