Hi,
Could any1 plz explain how XviD works? Cus if I understand it better, I should be asking a lot less stupid questions :) lol

An algorithmic approach would be highly appreciated.

as far as my knowledge, its not up to the algorithm, yet :P

Not upto the Algorithm :-?

In my original post, what I meant was, when one says XviD compresses Matrix better than, say another movie, on what basis is this judgement pronounced :-? So basically how does XviD compress a movie? what factors in XviD determine a movie quality :-?

the algorithm, from the source sode, is a bunch of math. i'm still in first year uni and learning calculus. so my math knowledge is not super, yet :P hopefully.
