Have found some DVD-R, that when burnt on a Pioneer A04 work pretty well and in the UK are cheap!.
There are two types
Aladin-media.com GP, white top, 1x, =55p
All4mats.com GP, white top, 1x, =£1.00
Found them at the local computer fair, check yer local paper. Havent found a website for them yet tho.
They work in a standalone Sony NS300, Playstation 2 and JMB DVD3000(frm Lttlewoods). Burnt with Nero at 1x not sure if they go any faster, but at 55p each you can afford to try it!
