Hey fellow newbie !
Make sure your burner is configured to MASTER
Then check the DMA settings of your IDE cable
(start, right click my computer , properties, hardware, device manager , IDE controllers, then whichever one the burner is connected to. Then select advanced settings) The Transfer mode should be set to DMA if available.
~theres also some info on speed issues on my post as well . http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/93618

Best of luck to you

Are you saying that the total time to rip the DVD and burn is 28 minutes??

If so, thats pretty good.....

If thats just for the burning, well there is a problem. Could be the DMA/PIO mode problem, could be the media you are using, or could be your DVD Drive.
What DVD drive do you have?
