I use the fantastic DVD Decrypter for help with making backups.

I will later use Nero 6.03xxxxx or Virtualdub or Dr. Divx or Main Concept for my final piece of the formating of my backup.

My question is on DVD Decrypter. What are the advantages (or disadvantages) or using the FILE, ISO or ISO modes ? Also, with the IFO modes there is a choice of streaming or not. I would appreciate your expertise on this matter and I thank you in advance.

File and ISO boil down to personal preference. There's no difference in the end result.

Nephilim,

Thank you for your quick reply.

If you would not mind helping out the anal retentive, could you tell me a little more about personal preference on those selections?

What are the functional differences so that they become a "personal preference".

Thank you,

Jon

if the dvd is less that 4.37gigs, you can just do iso-read iso-write with DVD Decrypter. If it is bigger, it doesn't matter as long as your compression program will read it.
