Google admitted this week that it did not delete all of the personal data its Street View cars collected in 2010. In May of 2010, the company confirmed that it accidentally collected data from unsecured Wi-Fi networks in over 30 countries. That data included email addresses. If people don't want their data so easily available, they shouldn't be using any wireless networks.

Turn your SSID broadcast off on your home network if you're worried about it. Honestly, it should be off anyway for security reasons unless you are unable to remember what your wireless network name is.
