Amazon announced today that it has created its own game studio, with a first game already developed and ready to be launched on Facebook. The title, "Living Classics," lets gamers move through scenes from classics like "Alice in Wonderland" and "The Wizard of Oz" while searching for defined items. Not only is Amazon a bit late to the concert, but to continue to foster this IAP method of money mining is going to be the death of gaming.

The word-of-mouth diatribe against this kind software money mining is already killing their Free App of the Day objective. Hell I barely even use it any more because of the spyware, data mining, money grubbing, low quality software offerings they put there anymore.

If it wasn't because of the updates being attached to the 'place of purchase' (which Amazon is woefully slow about maintaining as well) I'd get rid of the damned thing altogether & do without.

What's nothing from nothing?
