Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) offices in multiple states were unable to operate for the better part of four hours this morning after two computer glitches took down their computer systems. Additionally, networks for other state deparments like the Office of Human Resources and the Department of Consumer Affairs, were down as well. Yeah that's happened to me a few times before.I hate sitting there half the day when it only takes a few minutes to re-new your license.I do everything on line now and it only costs $1 more.

For every error you blame on the computer you will find at least two human errors including the error of blaming the computer in the first place. At the DMV the humans do enough to delay and tae down the DMV so I guess at least time the can blame the computers and it would be true.

I'm banking on the glitch being more like 'operator head room' than hardware failure.
