Have recently started to dabble into dvd burning but not having any luck.....

Would like to burn a burned copy of a dvd to a dvd +r
disk..

Tried to use nero 6.....no luck
Tried dvd movie factory 3 with no luck

Keep getting errors trying to write
I have taken the image and copied it to my hard drive..
Selected the file when asked....but, when it starts to do its thing I keep getting some kind of error...
It will not write...

As I stated before.....very newbie here...am trying to read and learn...however .I feel at this point a helping hand is needed....
Thanks and hope I have not over stepped here.....

What kind of errors are you getting?

In general there are two classes of DVDs, those that are less than 4.36GB and those greater than that size. They are commonly refered to as DVD5 (for the smaller) and DVD9 (for the larger). For DVD5 discs, have a look at http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/small_dvd_2_dvdr.cfm to help you back it up and for DVD9s, have a look at http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/dvd9_to_dvdr_with_dvd_shrink.cfm

You can determine which category your DVD falls into by either using DVDDecryptor ( http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_decrypter.cfm ) or SmartRipper ( http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/smartripper.cfm ) or alternatively, looking up your movie here: http://www.afterdawn.com/tools/dvd_layer.cfm

What did you try? Try using Nero's disc copy.

Do you still have the disc? And how is it saved to your HD? Is it a video_ts folder?
