Unable to burn second disc in advanced mode

I am trying to make my first back up of one of my dvd's using the advanced mode and NO compression. The "read" goes without a problem. The first disc is burned without a problem (looks great too). However, when I insert the second disc as requested, the program goes to finalize within seconds and then reports that the burn is complete, ejecting the disc in no more than 15-20 seconds after its insertion. I cannot play anything back on it. My player says the disc is not in a readable format. The simple mode works well but the image quality is noticably less on our 61". I would appreciate some assistance, but please keep it simple as I am only moderately computer literate.

It would be of some help if you could provide some information as to the programs you are using to rip, encode, burn and the process you are using.

Also operating system/specs etc would be useful.

You would be talking about XCopy Platinum RF. And I don't think the split disc option(no compression) ever really worked. You could try updating your aspi layer, but I doubt that would do it. If you can notice a difference, you might try using advanced mode and unchecking some of the titles ... and just burn the movie.

If you really want a great program with compression, try DVD Rebuilder w/ CCE Basic($58). Or ... buy a dual layer burner(around $90), and buy dual layer media($14.99/piece).
