Can you tell me if he ever shipped your unit? I sent payment to him last week for 2xpremodded dms3 ps2s.
I will let you know if I get the units. He promised to have them shipped this week. I'm a bit nervous right now after reading about your experience.

spehuang has gotten hid refund and Hunterdan has already received his system. Of course people are always quick to publicly complain but never publicly retract the complaint once the situation has been resolved. As for redrum, I'll have to replace your system. I never could get it to work correctly again. I shall keep in touch with you.

Phoenix, yes I did get my system yesterday, and it is what I ordered, did check it out and everything works,
for your work,good job,although I haven't opened it to
check out how neat you were. for your communication skills
you need alot of improvement, when one of us places an order with you and sends off their money you need to send a shipping date, not ignor their emails for weeks.
Some of us don't have a sense of humor when it comes to our money.I would do business with you again when I
read about happy customers.

After assuring me that he could fix my PS2, I sent it to him after paying his fee. I sent it to him on July 28th but he said he never received it. After a week of denying he received the package, I gave him the delivery confirmation number and he was able to miraculously find the package at the post office. He said that the post office had it all the time. Fine... whatever...
After a few days, he says he can't fix it. He tested it out but it was beyond repair in the first place. The weird thing is that he asks if he can keep the system. I didn't know if it the system was beyond repair so I told him he'd have to buy it off of me. He refuses and says he will refund my money and the console. He said he would send me a tracking number when he has shipped the console back. He told me that last Thursday (Aug. 12).
It's been a week since his last email and he no longer responds to my questions of when he is going to refund my money or send my console back. Even with regular U.S. mail, it should take about 2 days maximum for me to receive it. I left a message on his number, which just appears to be a voicemail box. I'm not sure why it would take so long to refund someone's money through paypal.
This guy runs a poor business. Don't do business with him.
Unless he responds soon and returns everything like he promised, I'll file a small claims case against him.

I deal with a guy here in Phoenix on a weekly basis modding peoples PS2 and XBOX, he does this all by himself and receives multiple game consoles daily. I don't know if -daphoenix- does this all by himself but dealing with this guy her in Phoenix, I can see that it gets real stessfull.
Im sure -daphoenix- doesn't come here to ripp people off and throws fake solutions out to get your business. Sending stuff through the mail can get a little or alot crazy when sending somthing electronical, I'm sure the mail has their own security polocies thus causing delays.
As for paypal I have no answer since I don't deal with this all to much, but word of advice>>> Use a credit card, much easeir to claim a false puchase or bad business transaction. (From my own personal experence)

Whatever... If The Phoenix is having a problem keeping up with his business, he needs to tell his customers when he will finish their orders. When you take someone's money and then don't respond to their inquiries and do not fill their orders, that is called stealing people's money.

Seems to be quite a few of the type of guys about.I now feel lucky i took my Ps2 to the local computer fair to be chipped a while back.Although i still had my problem.I took it in the morning and collected it in the afternoon and when i switched it on at home it would only play my originals.I rushed back to the computer fair and asked him to repair which he said i would have to collect the following week. The following week i got there at the crack of dawn to ensure i got it back ok.Rather than me have to pay to get back on the computer fair he had arranged for me to collect from security.Took it home same problem by now i have had enough.Straight back to the fair plonked it down demanded he fix it there and then and sat with him until repaired and checked it worked with him and got a refund for the cost of getting in to the computer fair.I felt really lucky as he worked on the fair as well as from the net.I feel for you guy's as it is really frustrating when you shell out your hard earned cash for someone to take the mickey.I hope all you guy's who have not already got yourselves sorted do so soon.

I haven't gotten my refund, console, or any response from him yet. I initiated a paypal complaint. After that, if that doesn't work, I already have all the small claims papers in hand for Maricopa County (Tempe, AZ area where he is based). I'm not too worried. I'm just annoyed.

Okay boys and girls, this is exactly why afterdawn does not allow freelance advertising. To prevent this sort of thing from happening in the first place.

Yes i believe daPhoenix should remove his sign from his signiture. These are meant for fun not to advertise your business.

Is his advertisement of his business any different than me or any one else refering someone else to a business.
Or should we just refer or suggest a company that modds a system.

geestar20 i see your point but when you suggest a business you are normally trying to help others.Advertiseing your own business is for your own fianacial gain.If all who had there own business started to advertise this way we would probably end up being a help line for customers.
Has you can see from this thread it can cause conflict which none of us want.It may be best to keep these sort of things away from those you wish to chat with on forums to save yourself a hassle. It does not matter how well you run your business you will always get the odd unsatisfied customer.

I don't see this thread as a help line for GamePhoenix's customers. I only posted on this thread to warn others about using his services. Even if he had not self-advertised on this site, I would still have wanted to warn others about his modding service.
Since most modding services require a bit of faith when sending your console in and pre-paying for service, I think the best way to find out which services are reliable is through word of mouth. Juding from the other complaints in this thread, I am not an odd unsatisfied customer. There is a definite pattern.

bush53 this is the point i make we it causes uneeded conflict how many unstisfied customers.Bringing your business to a forum where you chat to others is like bringing your work home.It will cause conflict and it is not the sort of thing you want on a forum. No none sees it as a help line because to be honest there is nothing we can really do.daPhoenix as a member is getting a little stick here because he has brought his work to the forum.
This is something we do not need on the forum.None of us including yourself bring your work problems to this forum. We come here to have fun and help others in our outside work intrests what we enjoy and not to discuss work related problems. If i was a plumber and i charged every member at AD double and did not do the job proper and then came on the forum and said hi guys.I just wonder what the response would be not faviourable i know. This it is why it is best to keep it away from the forum.
Thanks

I had a chip installed in my xbox by daPhoenix and I got my xbox back in 2 days. I live in Phoenix and I had to take it to a store that pretty much just sold anime and card games. Xbox worked great and I wanted to have a hdd upgrade. When I e-mailed him I got no response so I figured he was busy and just went back to the store last Tuesday. The guy that works at the store told me he moved out of the store and couldn't get a hold of him. He didn't even have a phone number to reach him at.
