dvd loader is a programme you need to play your BACKUP games on the ps2, that is if you use swap magic with either the slide tool or flip top. try searching for "xsorbit3 satchannel" this should get you there.

The dvd/cdloader allows you to play games with a double boot check. The method when you use a big toc original as a toc refresh won't work because it can't fix the double boot check. The dvdloader and the cdloader are the same except that the dvdloader is on a dvd and the cdloader is on a cd. The reason the dvdloader was made is because ps2 versions 9/10 can't boot the swap magic versions 3.0 and below and thus can't boot cd-r's.

I have a Flip Top and Swap Magic 2.0 DVD. So then could I use DVD Loader as a TOC boost to play an original import like Xenosaga? Would I insert the DVD Loader after Swap Magic?
V10 PS2, flip top, SMD
Playing imports since 2000.

u cant refresh toc with the dvdloader it has 2 be a orginal game(Big Game)!
boot ure orginal swap magic SWAP the dvdloader load
that and try 2 boot ure backup, if that dosent work,
try loading the dvdloader again push ejct and put in a big game(high toc) push x now it comes up a screen saying change disc using ea metod(slide card og fliptop or old neo 1-3 chip) now swap 2 ure backup/import and then it will hopefuly work!

Original Xenosaga can't be played using any SwapMethod or bootdisk so far, if you really want to play it, you'll need to get a solder mod-chip.
The reason has to do with Xenosaga being a dual-layered DVD.
In case you're wondering, other DualLayered DVDs (or DVD9) include : Xenosaga (Both USA and JAP versions), Champions of Norrath (USA), Sakura Wars Atsuki Chishiyo Ni (Jap) and MGS2 : Substance (both PAL and USA versions).
In other words, you'll never be able to play such games using swap magic.
If you own a DVD-R tough, you may still be able to play Xenosaga, by doing a Rip to DVD-5, for more information on this, visit www.swapmagicfix.com and download the tutorial on Xenosaga.

i have a ps2 v6-7-should i use cd loader or dvd loader. i use swap magic dvd disc v2.0 and all my games that I backed up work perfect. I never use the Swap MAgic Cd, and when I do, my games don;t work. So should I get CD or DVD loader to play fixed games?

if you are using swap magic dvd ver.2 as you say then you should burn dvd loader onto a dvd(this programme can also be burned onto a cd ad used as cd loader) so yes, burn onto dvd and use as dvdloader.
