I'm about to embark on this journey of transferring my old VHS to digital. the info i've found here has been exceptionally helpful and thank you to everyone.

one of the options i have found interesting is converting to a digital format using a DV cam first then transferring to the computer HD. I have a Sony mini DV that has a video input that requires something called an iLINK cable to be used.

My question is, how do I go from the RCA sockets on my VCR to the iLINK input on my mini DV ? Is there a cable that will allow this ? RCA on one end and iLINK on the other ? Sorry if this is a really stupid question. I've tried to find some info about this via google but all i get is advertising for sites that sell either RCA leads or iLINK cables...hmmmmm.

Many thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Luke
