how do i boot my psx backups to play on my ps2 version 3 using nosolder (fliptop)

im afraid u have 2 buy breaker pro cd or action replay/game shark
i would recomend the breakerpro coz u can boot
ps2 dvd rips over 630 meg

you have to use a psx version of gameshark/action replay to boot ps1 backups.

The Bonus Codes Disc for PS1 games that came with your Action Replay v2 for PS2 will work fine. Boot with the Bonus Codes Disc, use the swap trick to insert your PS1 backup, and start game without codes.

The ps2 Cheat disc that comes with this (arv2) does that boot ps2 backups?

Yes it will although I don't recall the booting procedure. I believe for PS2 CD's it was a single-swap and for DVD's you had to use a high TOC disc. I found it to be pretty complicated and just bought and installed a no-swap modchip.
