This in no joke. I switched form Kazaa lite K++ to Emule (lack of good files.. you know the story) but when I download most of my files take weeks. actually I have some that have been frozen since I first started using this program over two months ago!!!!... Man that *$@% is not cool. oh yeah I do use D>S>L. My download sp is over 1,200 and upload is over 300. What am I doing wrong please help.

oh incase you should ask I did check out the help files, tried a few of the remedies and fished around for days on this site nothing worked. I like to help my self if I can but I think some guidance is needed at this point.
Thanks.

Well eMule is usually slow to begin with but that shouldnt last all that long! As long as your settings are right and your ISP havent been trying to block access you should have seen some speed increases by now. Some things that can help are to share popular files at release priority in order to gain credit, this will in turn give you faster downloads. The people who download the fastest and most on eMule are the people who upload the most!

Dela, I've actually found that to be kinda untrue. Don't get me wrong, I love the way the P2P system works, "You share, you get."

But thing is, I've done everything in your new wonderful, godly, eMule guide, and I don't even get speeds up to 80kbs or more! I usually start at 7kbs, go up to 20kbs, remain there for a couple of hours, jump to 40kbs for 2 hours, and then drop back, and so forth! Sometimes I jump to 80kbs for like 5 seconds - 2 minutes. You get the idea... I want a constant high speed.

And my upload ratio is 26:1 =(

Everyone is entitled to their own true opinion. Either respect that or don't.

By fact dude its the system, those who upload get credit! Now the only reason my guide doesnt seem to help u achieve a lot of speed is because its a "little emule tutorial". Its just there for people who are beginers more than the advanced!

The ways of getting high upload speeds are different. For example, eD2K linking sites may release a certain type of file, for arguments sake we'll say .pdf. Now if they release loads of em, you can bet that a lot of them will be downloaded and shared by the same users! So if you download and share with release priority as many of those files as possible, you will get a better download speed from the "regulars" sop to speak, because u upload a lot to them!
