I realise a similar question has been posted regarding this topic, but I understand it was for a back-up disc. I have an original NTSC copy of Suikoden 3 that won't load. The swap disc prompts me to "insert disc" then freezes. It works with another game, so it's not the SM disc. Any one know why this would happen? And can you copy an original DVD game using a CD writer? I don't have a DVD writer so am not in a position to back it up. Thanks.

www.swapmagicfix.com says that you need to boot it using CDLoader BETA3 option, I suppose that fix is meant for the DVD-R version, but you could try with your original anyway.

Download CDLoader from SwapMagicFix, burn it, insert your SwapMagic CD, use slidetool to swap it with CDLoader, push eject and insert a large DVD for TOC refresh, use slide tool to take out the DVD and then insert your Suikoden 3 (and make sure to choose the beta3 option).

A good example would be Devil May Cry, the game has the highest TOC available on a normal DVD, if you don't have that, just try with some other game, who knows, it may work.
