Hi all,

Does anyone know how to determine playback time for MPEG1 or MPEG2 variable bit rate video files (just *.mpg and not VCD or DVD)? As in how to determine total playback time, how to know current playing time? Thanks in advance!

If its multipass encoding the Average birate is the key, average of 1150 would give 600MB for an hour. You can get birate calculators, just use google, VideoCalc is good!
