Nintendo reveals digital benefits of Deluxe Wii U bundle

article published on 30 October, 2012

Just a couple of weeks before launch, Nintendo has revealed the digital benefits of purchasing a Wii U Deluxe set. The set, which costs $50 more than the Basic model, comes with a number of hardware upgrades and accesries, which have long been known. The system itself is in the black colorway, there is 32GB of internal memory (compared to 8GB for the basic), the console comes with NintendoLand, ... [ read the full article ]

It's not a horrible deal. I say this puts it between XBL crappy percentage off and PS+. I know PS+ only gives away free "rentals" but lets face it, that saves a lot in $ right there; and I really hope Sony sticks with that going into PS IV era.

actually i think its a pretty decent deal considering most console companies give you nothing more than a t shirt or some similar crap on release date and also consider that for $50 you get 4x the internal memory, game, a charging cradle, a stand for the system and tablet. plus 10% cash back, its a no brainer if your going to buy the system anyways.if you are a Nintendo fan and average 1 game($50+) purchase a month in 8 months or less you will earn the original $50 difference back.

I know what it comes with, no offense, but its been claimed over and over again; makes it brush off like some fanboyism statement. I already had pre-ordered the Wii-U but not because of the eshop promotion, but because there is some value behind the Wii-U tech, especially if its get modded.

That aside going back to the article, the reason I claim it's not a great deal is simply because of this: yes you speak truly that after 8-10 titles you get a free new game of your choice essentially making it 1 new title every year. But aside from DS, SNES, GBA, Gameboy, NES; Nintendo hasn't exactly been scoring 10 must have titles (3rd Party or no), a year. Considering over half the launch titles are remade or ported games that already been out for 360/PC/PS3, it makes little sense to most to even invest in the system right now. So overall knowing that 10 hits that "MUST HAVE" by at least 1 member of the family will be virtually non-existent, the 10% cash back is an ok deal at best.

Never trust internal memory..

Copyright infringement is nothing more than civil disobedience to a bad set of laws. Lets renegotiate them.

none taken, my point was not so much in the deal but the fact that there is one on launch and its a decent package. not the usual t-shirt etc. . your right 10 must have titles will be hard to come by .
but i think for $50 the rest of it is still a decent deal the cash back is sort of like the 5 free mp3 coupons that come with thumb drives, sure most of us throw them away but some people actually use them .
i do not have one pre-ordered i am intrigued by the tech but my back log of 360 games is going to be keeping me busy for a while.
