DVD X Copy finalizing 4x DVD+R but nor 4x DVD+RW

I have an NEC ND-1100a burner. I have a copy of DVD X Copy Platinum 3.2.1. When I try to burn to any 4x DVD+R media it finalizes the disc before it burns it and I have a coster. If I use a 4x DVD+RW it works. 2.4x seems to work but they are getting hard to find. I have tried Maxell, TDK, Memorex all with the same results. I have installed the newest firmware. Still nothing. What am I doing wrong?

1) Using a very old version of XCopy.

2) Try updating your aspi layer. Use force 1.8

Any you really should get Platinum RF. To get it go to dvdxcopy.com and log in. If it's not available for download, then you will need to e-mail support@321studios.com, give them your current license and password, and ask them to issue you a new ripper free license. Then once you've downloaded RF and install it, get 321rip:http://321rip.tripod.com/ ... this will make RF a ripper again.
