I have nero 6.3.1.7 or whatever and i load it and it does not give me the option for a DVD it gives me the option for everything else Data CD VCD mp3 cd and audio Cd and what not what am i doing wrong here i believe i have the latest version someone help please i wanna start burning some of these movies i got

The DVD Burner doesnt have to be the default burner, as long as you have one.
When you open up Nero Burning Rom, on the left hand side above where you see Data CD, VCD Etc, it should say CD, if u click the little down arrow, change it to DVD. You will now be given the DVD Options, select the option then New.
Just remember when you are ready to burn, make sure that you select your DVD Burner, if you have more then one Burner. On the tool bar, top right hand side, or go to Options then Choose Recorder.
@CoZZa in older versions of Nero for me, it never picked up the DVD Drive just after install, I used to have to change it from Image Recorder to my DVD Drive! The newer version i got when I got my LiteON burner and havent had the same problem with that so that's why i made the suggestion!
