Ok, the inlaws blessed us with a Samsung SCD107 Mini DVC. In my quest to please them by making DVD home videos, Im stumped by choppy captured video files. I read some threads, went out and got the firewire card. I plugged everything in using Windows MovieMaker. I got a picture but the feed is choppy. Almost as if my processor could not keep up with making the video file. I have a P4 1.4Gh. 640MB RAM, 80GB HD. I weekly defrag so Im kind of lost. Maybe I should fork out $300 for a DVD recorder. Heard some have a USB port for that stuff. Any insight would be most appreciative. Thanks
