Kodak, the imaging pioneer currently in bankruptcy, has sold its digital imaging patent portfolio for $525 million, a move that should help it emerge from bankruptcy in the new year. Is that what they call it now? A "consortium."
Lets see, a group of large corporations colluding to reduce competition and litigation among themselves; sounds like a cartel.
We all know how great cartels are for competition and the consumer...

It is really sad to see this once great company on it's heels and even sadder to see Apple amongst the consortium, or as one person put it already cartel.
Kodak woke up to the digital revolution way too late - of course professionals were saying at the time they would never go digital, words they have eaten now.
I hope that Kodak are able to pull their show around and weather the storm it would be a shame if the brand vanished into tech oblivion.
Will be interesting to see how the patent sharing works Apple have never struck me as a company that like to share their developments.
