why should i care? i can easily cancel it and use 20 other knock off apps just as good. Or use a real camera and pixl-o-matic on my laptop.

Many users will care, because Instagram is claiming they own all photos you've uploaded, whether or not you reject the new TOS.

Why should you care you ask? Well, if you were literate you would have been able to read and understand the article you took time to comment on.

Yes, you can cancel. But when you do cancel they get to keep what you've already uploaded and they can use and/or sell it without your permission.

Think that might be something you want to care about?
