OHM CD-R's CIRCUIT CITY QUALITY QUESTION

Can anyone tell me if the OHM CD-R's (80 min 700mb) are any good??

I keep reading bad reviews.

I will be using a 32x MADDOG burner if that makes a difference.

sorry, but i havent opened the pkg yet, would that be on the outside of the media?? or on the disc itself? i dont see it on the package anywhere.

Hey there,
I bought a 50 pk spindle for simple data burning for work and thats pretty much all their good for. Even though I do not know how long they retain data, mp3s, etc. I wouldn't burn anything I intend to archive on them. They claim to burn at 48x but actually only burn at 8x. Whats worse is that Circuit City still retails this product even though they are blatantly misleading the customer.

Let me know if you have better luck with them...

TDK is name brand media and ive used them, good stuff. Generally if you feel the media is cheap dont buy it... now theres a difference between cheap media and a good deal on good media dont be mislead. I just got a 50 pack of TDK's for 7 dollars and they are good stuff, last pack the store had to :). And in general keep burn speeds lower, i never go above 32x and normally im happy at 24x. I found after a while my standalone cd players were finacy taking media that was burned faster (tested media made around same date that was burned slower with no problems).

Ive used all these media and they have all held their data well over 5 yrs.
